WHAT IS IVF?
It is a process of fertilization where a baby is made out of the womb. In other words, the egg is mated with the sperm outside the body, or in common terms this process also known as test-tube baby- making. In such a process monitoring and simulating a person’s ovulatory system is involved, in which the extraction of ovum and ova from the ovary followed by fertilizing the sperm in a highly professional laboratory with the purpose of establishing a successful pregnancy.
IVF is a special kind of reproductive treatment, used for infertility treatment. In this treatment a fertilized egg is implanted into the uterus of a surrogate, and as an outcome the isn’t genetically related to his/her surrogate mother. IVF also comes with some restrictions, where it demands age and declaration of the surrogate to undergo the healthy pregnancy process with a handsome price tag.
WHY IVF IS IN EXISTENCE?
To overcome the problem of infertility in females this process is found to be helpful. The problem of infertility arises in females when the fallopian tubes aren’t functioning properly or they have crossed the age of being highly fertile, then this process is suggested. It is helpful in male infertility as well. In such cases when sperm quality isn’t that great then through the process of ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) the sperm is injected directly into the egg. This procedure is used when the sperm has difficulty in penetrating the egg and in the case where the sperm is borrowed by a donor or if the original male parent has a low sperm count.
According to US’s NICE’S guidelines, the IVF procedure is considered as successful treatment for unexplained pregnancy.

The most important fact of IVF is that it helps the infertile couple to achieve a successful pregnancy and a healthy child, it is like a dream come true for such people.
